The list of colleges suspended in January 2010 in UK. A number of students studing in those colleges are facing alot of trouble. Home Office approves the list of colleges for license and mark them as A Category. Students consider these colleges are reliable to study and are not bogus colleges so in terms of fees innocent students pay from their home countries a big amount of money to make their future bright and to get good degrees. But when they come to UK they find their college license got suspended and later on it gets revoke. So many times students get the news about college license suspension before traveling to UK. So as per home office rule, even after paying the whole year fees and after getting the uk visa to study, they are not allowed to enter in the uk to study in a suspended license college. In this situation if any student lands at any UK airport, UK border agency deports that student because of college license suspension. So students could not continue their studies and commonly they do not get refund because they could not approach to the education providers in UK.
This is the really unfair system. British always believes in a fair and true policies but this situation is completely not understandable. Everything is going to unlawful in UK. It seems like "UK Border Agency" doesn't care before giving the "License to education providers" but after a period of time when the session gets start like from "january 2010", they removed a number of institutions from their list. In this situation, education providers do not suffer as they take the fee for whole year from students but just after 2 or 3 months when "college license revokes". Student gets helpless as after this situation education providers close the premises without refunding the fee. No body helps the students in this situation and this story is continued from March 2009.
Another dark side of this story is the "Council Tax" which is exempted only for the students. But after March 31st 2009, council sending the tax letters to all those students whose college is not in the list of UK Border Agency. Council says the student who's college is in the list of UK Border Agency is only the genuine student. On the other hand... Home Office says "If the student is already in the United Kingdom and studying with the Tier 4 sponsor, we will not tell him/her if we suspend their licence. However, if the result of the suspension is that the Tier 4 sponsor loses their licence, we will tell the student and his/her permission to stay will be limited". Means students are not allowed to switch the college on suspension of sponsor license unless it gets revoke. But who can tell this to Council, they even do not check the home office rules. They just send the big big amount of notices as warnings to students who are already facing alot of tension and remain in too much pressure. In this situation, Home Office says the students, study properly and pass your exams... WOW! what a big joke... |
